" My Only Focus Is To Create"
You name it, I can create it! I am a multidisciplinary creative. I design experiences, produce a podcast, and make short videos.
Over 10 years ago, Chardeney was given a project by her high school teacher to find a creative way to display how she was making a social impact in the world. While others turned to traditional formats of making posters or PowerPoint presentations, she picked up a camera. Today, not much has changed. Chardeney is a multidisciplinary creative and likes to use short-form video, audio, photography and graphic design to share ideas.
Her long-term goal is to be a Creative Director at a tech, media, or beauty company. Chardeney has a strong desire to work within these industries on a creative team because she believes these industries have a strong impact on our society and help push the culture forward. As a Creative Director, her goal is to focus on creating more, positive narratives and images of minorities and people of color.
She has a theory that people are a product of their environment and in order to build better communities, it starts with showing people they are part of the bigger picture. She also believes the true way to bring people together is by learning more about each other. She has taken various strides towards this goal of being a Creative Director. At the young age of 20, she landed her first entertainment opportunity at VH1, assisting executives on the casting and creative development team. Later, she went on to coordinate the first-ever, sold-out concert at Bradley University where her and a colleague personally selected Wiz Khalifa to headline the show. She transitioned into the beauty industry as a Creative Coordinator, through previously excelling at landing a brand partnership and collaboration for the start-up. Along with contributing to helping the company reach over 150k followers on Instagram, she was granted the opportunity to further assist the team at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris. Her most recent project, Not Your Average Culture, launched in 2018. It shares stories of people from non-traditional backgrounds who are making a social impact within their respective i.
Currently, Chardeney is using her marketing, events and creative producing expertise to work freelance and on a contract basis.
In 2020, she hopes to get back to the root of what started this journey. Through short-form video, Chardeney wants to amplify stories, share more positive and authentic narratives and create more images of minorities and people of color within the media.
